Name a better combo. We’ll wait.

There is no greater joy in life than applying a soothing face mask and kicking back on the couch for a Netflix marathon. Actually – scrap that – there are two ways this weekend situation could be improved: with a wine in your hand and a BFF by your side.

With hundreds, if not thousands, of Netflix shows to choose from, the endless scroll to find your next binge-worthy series can be a bit like finding a needle in a haystack. Sometimes, when you’re presented with an abundance of options, it’s best to go with the popular vote. So, here are five top-rated shows that won’t disappoint next time you want to #NetflixAndMask.

You (Season 2)

Netflix’s hit show, You, is BACK! Starring Penn Badgley (of Gossip Girl fame) as Joe Goldberg or rather Will Bettelheim. He’s new to LA and has sworn off love. But love, like murder, has a way of tracking you down. Like season 1, it is equal parts addictive and infuriating.

The Good Place

Forking hell! Set in an after-life where you can’t swear but you can eat all the frozen yoghurt you want, the basic premise of The Good Place is simple: what happens if you end up in ‘heaven’ by mistake? That’s the reality Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell), a recently deceased and less-than-angelic human is faced with. Instead of coming clean to Michael (Ted Danson), the all-powerful architect, Eleanor seizes her chance to try and earn her place in The Good Place.

Brooklyn 99

You have the right to remain in stitches. Brooklyn Nine-Ninefollows the antics of Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) a talented yet carefree cop who has never had to follow the rules or work very hard. That all changes when tightly wound Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher) takes over the precinct, Peralta and his dysfunctional coworkers’ lives suddenly get a lot more demanding.

The Witcher

Ex-Superman, Henry Cavil stars as Geralt of Rivia, a mutated monster-hunter for hire, who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. The eponymous Witcher, Geralt is destined to protect Ciri, a princess from the fallen kingdom of Cintra, and, over the course of his tumultuous journey, he finds his soul mate, a sorceress named Yennefer of Vengerberg. You’ll love The Witcherif you were obsessed with Game of Thrones.

Glow

Netflix-original show Glowis a humorous look at a group of jobbing actresses in the '80s who banded together to form a wrestling group: Glamorous Ladies Of Wrestling (GLOW). It features a diverse cast of women, witty dialogue and approximately 900% more Lycra than every other Netflix show combined.
